OK I am done. On to the good stuff.

In the picture is me, Annette, Allison, and Kim. Allison lives by me and her friend is Annette and Kim is Annette's friend. -is that confusing?- At the end of the day I got to know 2 really great girls and I am happy to call them friends. We got up stinking early Tuesday morning and flew to Seattle. We got to our hotel about 9 that morning. This is a picture of our room door. It was an art hotel, so needless to say it had some interesting pieces that our little mormon eyes weren't used to seeing.

After we checked in we grabbed breakfast at a yummy little bistro then headed to Pikes Market. I never realized that Seattle was hilly, but it is a lot like San Fran. Thank goodness for my walks every morning. Pikes Market was really fun. I couldn't believe how cheap all the flower bouquets were and the produce and of course fish. It was so pretty seeing a long row of fresh flowers. You could buy a bouquet for $5-$15. Crazy!

We got to see the famous flying fish. I thought that area would be bigger, but it is just another little section where the guys got a little more creative. After Pikes market we went to Pioneer Square where there is an underground tour. It was pretty fun to see and here the history of Seattle. There is a 3 block radius that is underground. While we were waiting for our tour we had lunch. It was Sushi! Can you believe it, I ate sushi and I kind of liked it. At least the cooked one. We went to the Space need from there. It was fun too. When you walk around it you feel like you are going to slide off it. At least I did. Maybe I was just really tired. I don't know

From the space needle we headed back to the hotel for a quick change and went out to dinner. I can't remember the name of the place, but it was good. We walked to the concert hall from there. -there was a lot of walking on Tuesday-

The concert was awesome! Justin from Blue October started it out by singing a few songs and then he turned it over to Stephenie and the host. He asked her questions about the book and stuff for about 45 minutes. After that Justin came back and h e played his songs that are on her Breaking Dawn play list. -It is on her website. She makes a play list of all the songs that she was listening to or she thinks relates to a scene in the books- It was fun listening to them. She would share her reason why she picked the song and he would say why he wrote the song. I loved his acoustic versions of the songs. I am not a big hard rock fan, but I would buy is acoustic versions in a heartbeat. While we were waiting for the book signing part a lady asked all the people who made creative shirts to come up and tell us what they say. I was so not wanting to go up there. I am a total behind the curtain type of gal, so with a lot of persuasion from the girls I went up. They said that when I said what was on my shirt *My heart belongs to my husband but my Neck belongs to Edward*the crowd cheered super loud, but all I heard was my little head voice freaking out. I was just happy that I 1. got through it 2. said it loud and slow and 3. I didn't trip on my face going to the stage and coming from it. Because I wore that shirt Stephenie Meyer stopped and talked to me while she signed my book. :o) That is what happens when you make a dorky shirt.
The next morning we woke up super early and got our rental car and headed to the Olympic Peninsula. It took us two hours longer than it should have because the rental car lady told us the long route. -the little stinker- We got to Port Angles first and had to stop in front of the Bella Italia restaurant.

The country was beautiful. We hurried out of Port Angles and headed to Forks. In Forks they had this little mom and pop burger place that had the Bella Burger, so we just had to have lunch there. It was pretty good.

We went and did a little souvenir shopping and then drove by the High School and stopped at the Chamber of Commerce where they had Bella's truck. Somewhere in the town there is a house that says Swan Residence, but with our little 2 hour detour we didn't have enough time to look for it.

The Lady at the CoC said that LaPush was only 20 minutes form there, so we decided to go and we were so glad we did. First Beach was so pretty. The clouds were rolling, so we got there just in time for a little photo op and then headed out.

After LaPush we drove straight back to Seattle to catch our flight. It was such a fun trip we all agreed we could have stayed another full day just in the Olympic Peninsula. The other girls got some more really great pictures, so when I get things rolling again in two weeks I will post some more pictures.

Looks and sounds like you had a lot of fun. I guess the theme of these comments will be-- I want to go on a trip with just friends too!! (insert whiny voice!) Just teasing. I am glad you had fun and that your shirt was so well enjoyed! Love ya
The trip was so amazing! I love your journaling about the experiences - I might have to copy it and print it out or something. It really sums up what happened.
Again, it was so fun to all get together - and although some were meeting for the first time - bond with tons of girl talk mingled with awesome times!
Fun! What a great trip. I'm so jealous. Glad you finally posted- I've been dying to hear about it. What did your shirt say?
Hey Katie
I just edited my blog, but my shirt said
My heart belongs to my husband
My neck belongs to Edward
Your trip sounds so fun! How neat to see the "real" places from the book and do a girls trip at the same time. (I'm jealous too) Your shirt is great, I LOVE it!! I might steal your idea for the movie premiere.
Kristen- I didn't even think about wearing it to the movie premiere. Good idea! If anyone wants to make a shirt like mine they are welcome to it. I didn't come up with the saying. I can't remember where I heard it, but I can't claim it as an original. *Rats!*
Speaking of Premiere- Who's up for a girls night! Dinner and a movie! We can all wear fun shirts together. Kim and Annette you should come up and go with us.
Yay! I found your blog--SO cute btw--and double yay!!! You posted your trip...love it. And LOVE your shirt. I totally want one! lol
what a fun trip! I loved all your pictures of Forks. that is so cool you got to go to the concert...I love Twilight!!
I loved your post about the trip. Your shirt idea is awesome. I think I will make some for our GNO for the movie. How fun. Although my sister is a team Jacob girl so I don't know what I will do for her! I love the pictures. It really looks like what I imagined, but it is so fun to really see it. I am so glad that you got to do that. Someday I will have to go up there. Awesome!
So I'm sure you've heard the bad news about breaking dawn? if not go to her website. I've already read the first chapter of the book and it's great.
