During the parenting class I took, Sister Tanner encourage us to create a family motto. I was really excited about this and Robert and I took a lot of time to decide what we wanted it to be. The statement we decided on actually is an exert from Robert's patriarchal blessing. For Christmas I had a friend cut it out in vinyl and I finally got around to painting the board and putting it together.
I think it turned out great. I am so excited to hang up in our home.
Thanks Megan so much for your help. If anyone is interested in doing something similar I would love to help. Megan's company is Stick it (click for the link).
Post Script- The motto says- a home of prayer, a refuge of virtue and cleanliness, a haven of peace and security, that it might be sanctified by the spirit.

Looks Great!
I love it! We were asked to make a family motto by our Stake President last year in Stake Conference but we haven't gotten around to making a board to show yet. Your's is gorgeous. What does the motto say? I can't read it and when I click on the image it won't become big.
Ya, you need to edit your post and add the words as they are hard to read in the pict. Looks good though!
