Painting for a Friend

I recently finished a couple of paintings for some friend's birthdays and thought I would share one of them. -I forgot to take a picture of one before I gave it away. Oops.-

It is one of the few originals that I have done. Our boys played soccer together and there was a tree in a yard by the field that I loved, so I took a picture of it. When I was talking with this friend once she told me that she loved blues and greens and we were walking in the model homes up here at Avimor and she loved a specific tree picture. In my mind I was like- I don't think I can paint that, but I do have a tree that I love and could probably paint- so this is my impression of this tree...

Ok, so I guess it doesn't look exactly like it, but that is the beauty of painting impressionist artwork. Right?

7 who want to talk about it:

Holy cow, girl! Your picture is amazing!

I have been making a Super Why costume all day for Jex, and was thinking of you while I was making the cape!

I miss you!!

You are so talented! It is beautiful. I didn't know you painted! Is this something you have always done? Thanks for your nice compliments on my blog! I am liking my dark hair. I went dark about 6 months ago and it is so much easier to keep up on rather than my blonde highlights! And especially since my favorite hair stylist is no longer here to do my hair! I had to grow it out and go brunette!:)

Jessica! That is fabulous - I didn't know you could paint - when did you discover that talent? When you were 5?
