On our way to and from Utah this last weekend we made a little birding detour and headed to the City of Rocks. Robert calls these trips adventures and the kids used to get so excited about them them, but recently they moan and say no thanks to going on an "adventure". This time however it really was a fun adventure. There were so many things to explore that 2 hours just wasn't long enough (for them). I probably wouldn't camp there because I am a camp by water type of person, but it is defiantly worth the detour when you head to Utah.
