"A Whole New World"

That is what Kyle said when he reached the top of the one of the Bruneau Sand Dunes.Robert took half the day off and we loaded up the kids for an adventure that took us eventually to the Sand Dunes. Before I could even get everything out of the car the kids were racing to the top of a dune. Claire had to get her hands in her pockets while she walked because her "fingers were freezy"By the time we even reached the hill Kyle and Anne were on their way back down. Victoria and Claire were happy to stay at the bottom. That is until I started heading up.This was Kyle's 3rd time going down the hill. I was finally heading up myself.I finally made it and Victoria was on my heels. She however never made it to the top. The sand is a little looser at the top and she was scared even with Anne going to help.
(check out the panic on her face!)So she slid on her bum ALL the way down. With a little help from Kyle, Claire made it all the way to the top. She had a little freak out at the looser part too, but she pushed through and made it.At the top, Robert was doing what he loves to do.Claire took a minute to enjoy the view before she took off.Kyle tried to stop her, but she wsn't having that, so he just followed her on the ridge. Their distance from me made me nervous, so I had them stop so I could catch up and, while waiting for me, they decided to make sand angels.Once I was there, Kyle took off and went and did his own thing while Claire pressed forward. Close to the end of the ridge I had her stop and sit so that I could take our picture. -really, I was just scared and didn't want to go any further. I am such a sissy-After the picture I convinced her to slide down. We quickly realized that it would be a lot more fun to run down (unfortunately, my camera was full, but you should have seen her. She was hilarious) Claire is a trouper. Once down she turned around and headed right back up. She only made it half way when Robert came to pick us back up. He took off for a bit to look at some birds on the water. No lifers, but some good finds for him.We ended the adventure in some diner in Mt. Home. I can't remember the name. Usually those type of places are pretty good, but this one was so not good.
GOOD TIMES!

And then a trip to visit us! Thanks for stopping by even though I rudely ignored your call! :) It looks like you guys had a great time. I'll let you know what is going on for next week but probably a Saturday thing. We'll have to play it by ear though with all the craziness of late. Thanks again for stopping by!
