As a five year old, coming up to your daddy while in your Christmas dress and twirling, say, "Will you dance with me?," will make his morning. And when he actually does, it will make your day too.
As a seven year old, while trying to get ready for "hooky bobbing", say," I know I am slow, but I try to be faster and it never works!," will make your mommy laugh.
And finally having an eight year old boy who loves to play outside it the snow so much and when it is time to come in he just stands out on the back patio and, while trying not to laugh, pouts, will be smothered in hugs and kisses from his mom . His sister finally become aware of him and cry for me to help him because he is SOOO COLD! I just laughed and put on some water for hot chocolate.
Now the reason why I smothered him in kisses is that later that night, it was retracted out of him, that the reason why he was SOOO COLD was that he was throwing rocks onto the frozen lake. He got brave and walked out onto it, however, once he was out far enough the ice wasn't as strong and he broke through. Luckily, it was only chest deep on him. I can laugh now, but when I found out about it, I was so saddened and scared. It could have so easily been a tragedy instead of a great story for him to tell his kids and for his dad to tease him about. He has already had one nearly near death experience, why does he have to keep having more. I don't think my heart could handle it. (AHHH! That Boy!) I need to have a serious sit down with the boys that he plays with and give them the what to do when your friend is being an idiot talk, so that next time Kyle acts like an idiot, they will run to an adult for help instead of just throwing him a glove. -like that would ever help him from drowning.-

2 who want to talk about it:
Oh my goodness Jessica! How scary!!! My heart sank. I'm glad he's okay though! Throw at kiss at him for me!!
I love all of those sweet things your kids said to you and I also am so glad Kyle's o.k.!!!
