Adventure # 2

For Kyle's birthday this past weekend, we let him choose what adventure we would go and do. He choose to go ice skating!
We had so much fun. Robert and I thought that within a half hour the kids would be ready to quit, but 2 hours later, they were closing and the kids were sad to leave.
Kyle was a go getter. He charged onto that ice with no fear and fell a lot, but got up each time and did it again. By the end of the time he was on his feet more than his bum was on the ice.
This was Anne's second time going ice skating, so she, although a little wobbly, did really well. She could go on her own, but liked having Robert or myself hold hands with her. (unlike kyle, who started out wanting to hold our hands and then within seconds let go because he felt constrained.)
Victoria started out with a little support cart, but fell and went straight to the bench. After a while she noticed all the fun she was missing out on and slowly allowed us to take her out. The last 1/2 hour she was out on her own and loving it. On her very last pass, she fell twice and she was DONE!
Claire, unfortunately, never even put her skates on. She was just content to cheer us on while sitting on the bleachers.
We had a great time and will be doing it again.

*P.S. Robert granted my wish in witnessing him fall.
IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!*
*I, of course, never fell. :o)*
