The Westons

Just over 4 years ago we moved to Star, Idaho. I had just had Claire and was feeling the postpartum blues. Add it to moving to a new state and I was not doing so well. The week after I moved in my dad had a heart attack. I needed someone to watch my kids and I knew nobody that lived by me. Crystal heard of the situation and jumped right in to save me. From that moment on, I was so grateful for her and her family.

Fast forward through the  years and you would see me going to her sons confirmation, her coming to my talks in church and kids' baptisms, and her daughter going to Young Womans. When Robert was offered a job that would take us out east we went to the temple to see if it was the path that we should take. We had a lot of concerns about the job, but while in the temple I felt the spirit so strong telling me that I already was told that our family should take this job. Now was the time when I needed to focus on getting Ron, Crystal, and family baptized. I kept  trying to refocus on Robert's job, but the moment I did Heavenly Father brought me back to his will.

The night came when I had the opportunity to talk with them. Cristan was watching my kids while Crystal and I were out. When we got back to their home I sat down with Ron and Crystal.  I was so scared, so I just prayed that I could have the Holy Ghost there with me. I felt so warm and so I went for it and RON SAID YES!!! I couldn't believe it! He actually said yes!

That was last October. We got a phone call about a month ago from them telling us that they were getting baptized! Ron asked Robert to baptize him and then two weeks after that he wanted to baptize Crystal and Cristan. We just returned form our second trip to Idaho. Both were very short, but totally worth it.

Elder Ballard gave a talk a few years ago in General Conference (2006?) about creating a gospel sharing home. I really loved that talk and am thankful for it. Being a friend and letting others into your life is sharing the gospel. The spirit is so strong and will guide you and testify to them of the truth which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I can hardly wait for the day when I see this beautiful family in the temple becoming an eternal family.
