More Projects

I was delayed with making my own projects because I was making this beauty for a friend...
It's a twin size Dr. Seuss blanket

Here is the red mink back and the pillow I made with an extra square.
I saw the idea/pattern on a friend's blog, but for the life of me I can't find it again to link it up... Sorry. I'll keep  looking because it is really fun quilt and super easy. That is if you can cut straight, sew straight, and match your corners.
I have also been helping another friend make 2 quilts for her little bugs. (really she has done 99% of the work, but I am just there for moral support) It has been fun sewing up a storm with a friend. It makes me miss my little sewing/girls night back in Idaho. *Miss you guys!*
Today is the last day of school, so I needed to get the teacher gifts done. This year Anne chose a poinsettia pillow and Kyle and Victoria chose purses. I dug in my stash of fabric and found enough to make a few (I ended up buying the lining though) and I also changed up the pleats on this batch of purses.
This is for Kyle's teacher.

This is for Victoria's teacher.
Do you like the yellow pleather? I bought it last year for the Wizard of Oz Halloween (I was going to be the yellow brick road), but never ended up using it. I wanted to see how it would look before I went out and bought new fabric. I think it turned out great and I think I will make one for myself... Maybe
I am almost done with the gift I am giving my visiting teaching sisters and Robert's home teaching families, so I will show them soon. I also refashioned a dress for myself, but it is too big. (insert sigh) Hopefully I will be motivated to finish it before Sunday.

2 who want to talk about it:

Natalie and Tyler

You are so crafty and awesome! Someday I hope to be that great at sewing ha ha! Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!

Man, I wish I was your kids' teacher. Those purses are super cute! :)
