Wayne's Office

Right after Robert and I moved back to Idaho, we were talking with his brother, Wayne, about how his new dental office was coming along. He has been working for some years now at a local office, but has decided to start his own practice.
While chatting with him about the office, he asked if I would like to furnish/decorate his new office! WHAT!!! Dream come true!!! YES! YES! YES! It was all I could do not to jump from out of the chair and do a happy dance! (I may or may not have bounced in the chair)
He let me tag along with him when he was picking out flooring and let me put my two cents in every now and then. While talking with him I found that he was really liking the green and blues earthy tones. So with a lot of searching and even more shopping I came up with a layout and vision that I hoped he would like.
*Now, I should have prefaced this by saying that Wayne is in no way shape or form a picky man. If he absolutely doesn't like something he will say so, but other than that you get a pinch in his lips or some eyebrow movement to gauge how well he really likes something. (I got really good at reading his facial expressions)
Wayne wanted people to feel like they were coming into a home. He wasn't looking for the typical office. We have a smaller waiting area, but I found some great stuff to make it work.
While I show you the pictures, I'll tell you a bit more.
I didn't take a lot of construction pictures, but there are a few.

We took this back wall and desk and turned it into a hutch
Hutch that Sherstine's cousin made
Sherstine has a cousin who is married to an amazingly talented guy that built this hutch. Once her finished building we brought it to my house so I could paint it and then he installed it.

The waiting area isn't totally complete, so here is what we have so far
one side of the waiting area

Above the love seat will be a large family picture of Wayne and Sherstine's family. Rebecca once again outdid herself. The pictures were amazing and I am sure they will have a hard time choosing which one to display.
They have a fun little play area that Claire LOVES to come into.
We put in some brown round cushions and teal cubes for storage and seating. We will also be putting in a tv. The corner that you see with the chair will be a media center with an iPad for the clients to use. We will put up some shelving and decorations soon. Until then, we have our spare chair that will end up in Wayne's personal office.
This is by far the coolest Dino around.
I love this guy. He's perched under the lamp in the waiting area. It is also the very first  bird that  Wayne took a picture of. Can you tell what bird it is?
I bought some seasonal decor for this table that is by the door. It will be fun to change it out with the seasons
I was able to find some really great books like this sports book. (thank you D.I.) Wayne really likes sports so I thought it was fitting.
As you enter the door heading toward the dental rooms you see the next areas
These birds are on books titled Nuggets of Thought.

Wayne had me decorate 3 operating rooms. Each room has decor above the cabinets, a large mirror on one wall, a large picture, and a shelf with decorations and a saying that we will switch out every few months.

Room 1- Your smile looks adorable on you! You should wear it more often
His personal office is a storage room for now, but we did get his diplomas and awards on the wall as well as his desk put together.

I have loved furnishing Wayne's office. It was a lot of work, but I would do again in a heart beat. I can hardly wait to complete it.
