The background to my blog name is quite simple. When I was a babe, one of my siblings (not sure which one) couldn’t say my entire name (Jessica) and it came out as Icka. So from then on my family has called me Icka. Very early into my toddling years I was underfoot of my dearest mother while she was busy around the house. She would find me perched on the stairs and hopping in front of her so she referred to me as her little toad. My dad put the two together and thus Ickatoad was born. Now that I am grown and a little more mature (cough, cough) my siblings have dropped the toad and now refer to me as Icka.
