Mary, Mary quite contrary..

Our garden is growing! Well, I really should say Robert’s garden is growing. I finally decided that this was the year that we were planting a garden so I dragged Robert to Home Depot on a date night and we got all our “stuff”. He was so excited about planting it that he went to town. Now every night when he gets home he checks to see if it needs attending to and he does a fine job at it. In fact, so fine of a job that I haven’t even had the chance to do anything with it. The kids want to help him tend to it, but he isn’t ready to relinquish that control yet. Maybe when it is time to pick the veggies then he will let them do that.
We also have a rose bush in our back yard now. It is blooming and I am so excited to see the pretty pink roses. I got the bush that has the most fragrant roses. Eventually we will be turning our back yard into a habitat for the birdies. I have to admit that I kind of miss the huge variety of birds that would visit us in our back yard. I know we won’t have as big of variety here in Idaho, but that is okay. The kids love looking at them regardless if is just a little Finch or if it is a Peach Faced Love Bird. We do have about six wax winged birds in our weeping willow tree. It is right by our office window and it gives the kids (and myself) and huge thrill seeing them sing there hearts out right in front of us.-to see a picture of a wax winged see my Easter post.-
