Here are a few things that I have been working on
I made this fun quilt for a dear friend who just had a baby. It turned out really cute and I kind of want to make another one. Here is the tutorial.
I got these two valentine centerpiece ideas off of the One Pretty Thing website. I love that site. It has so many fun and mostly simple ideas and tutorials.
Robert just recently got a new calling in the Young Mens and has asked me to create a holder for the boys to put their cell phones in during church and Mutual. It was fun figuring out how to make it and having it actually turn out the way I have envisioned it. One day we were watching some clean up your life show and the guy on it said in regards to electronic devices to put them away and be present where you are. That really stayed with me and I want to make sure my kids learn that lesson. (here's my soap box...) I think kids and young adults right now aren't developing the skills that they need for this life because they are so focused on themselves and the immediate gratification that video games, computers, and cell phones can give them. I don't think this type of activity will prepare our youth for missions, public speaking or even knowing how to talk face to face to someone, to have quality relationships, and all the other things that go with it. (soap box over.)
I found this idea on Sugar Doodle. It is filled with statements and question on how we know that our Savor lives. You roll the dice and pull out the questions matching the number. I am really excited to use this in our Primary this year.
I am also working on a really cute skirt for my girls, but it isn't finished, so that will have to wait, but here is a link to a lady who made some and they are SOOO cute!

4 who want to talk about it:
I wish you could come give your 'soap box' lecture to our YW. You are so so right! I'll say again that I think our ward was very blessed when your family moved in!
reading your blog is like stumbling across a plethera of new ideas I can't wait to try. I love the can can skirts and can't wait to see how yours turn out. and I will be using the I know that my Savior Lives poster in primary too! Thanks so much for all your ideas.
Love all the ideas- especially the cell phone holder. I may have to copy! I'm in YW's and we are always reminding them to put their cell phones away. I've decided I'm going to have to learn how to text since one of the girls asked me last night if I got her text. What? I don't even know if my cell phone is capable! Beautiful work, Jessica!
I love the blanket, I am just a little late on the thank-you note! Sorry I missed you yesterday. It was kind of crazy. I will try and call in the next couple of days.
