Back in Idaho we had some great friends who has these huge trees in their front yard. Every year we would go over and the kids would get the tree swing and swing really high then fall into the mound of cushiony leaves.
This year we were the ones with the monster trees and the leaf piles. Victoria raked the front yard for days and finally achieved this mound.
Robert threw the girls into the pile and then buried Victoria. He was waiting for his scouts to show up for a camp out. One scout then built a wall around Victoria. It was chest high when they stopped. I was able to help her jump out of it so it would still stay standing, but the snow came that night and compressed it down to an ankle high "nest".
We managed to rake one side yard that night (3 bags full). But now we have more int he front (plus that pile), another side, and the back to rake and dispose of.
We took the kids to participate in Rake up Boise a few times, but raking up your own yard just isn't the same. Any one want to come and rake up my yard? I promise to let you be the first one to jump into the pile. (Don't kid yourself... I was all over that mound of fun. I was trying to get the neighbor girls to do it, -they were over googling at the cute scouts- but alas, that would have ruined their hair. (wink wink)
Ahh Leaves! Nothing like turning back into a kid for a little fun.
