We took the kids on a Memorial Day hike up North Canyon.
| Anne led the way |
| She loved that Camel backpack. |
| The area was blooming with color and there were quite a bit of butterflies about |
| Claire LOVED the mud |
| Kyle and Anne went further with Robert while I stayed back with Victoria and Claire. They were more interested in finding empty gun shells than continuing the hike, which I was told was the best part of the day |
| I kept the caboose going |
After we got back Kyle and Robert headed out to grab the flags that they put up that morning. Part of being a scout in our troop is flag duty. Kyle was so excited to do the flags. It is so great to see him grow and shine.
Last Memorial day we hunted down our ancestral graves and that crazy! We did have a good time, but finding little tiny markers in the midst of an ocean of people did my nerves in. I did like seeing the graves of our recently past loved ones, but next time we will go on an off day.
This Memorial day was much more low key and I couldn't have been happier.
1 who want to talk about it:
What a beautiful day!
