Oregon Coast

We headed to the Coast for a week of camping with all of our Mortensen Family. We all had so much fun that week flew by.
Because Robert had the camera most of the time... Most of the pictures looked like these.

However we did catch a few fun moments.

We left really early (5:30 am) and met up at Multnomah Falls for lunch.

 While we were there, they were having a kids day. They had little booths to go to with activities and after the kids finished they went and got an ice cream cone. Claire loved it. All the others gave up until it was time to go and saw that Claire had a treat, but by then it was too late.

We finally arrived at Cape Lookout campground and the weather was beautiful and warm, so the kids and men jumped in their suits for a little water fun.

Our site backed up to woods, so we had the best of both worlds. The ocean on one side and the woods on the other.

there was this huge tree that the kids called the Voldemort tree. They all loved climbing up it to the perch.  Right where the girls are sitting there is another tree growing. Crazy!

On Sunday we went to the local Tillamook Branch and then after lunch we went to see the cape light house as well as this really cool tree.

Every morning and some afternoons and evenings we went for walks on the beach and found some fun sea creatures.

Some of them just popped right off. No worries, we put them right back

We also found a lot of these. but only if we got up early enough to beat the seagulls to them

We also went a few times into Tillamook for an ice cream stop and tour of the cheese factory.

 Our last night there, I took Robert to the airport to fly out to Arizona for a birding trip with Swarovski. After dropping him off, two of my sister in laws and myself went to the Portland Temple and then out to eat. I am so glad they came with me.

The week went by so fast and we had so much fun. Hopefully we can go and do it all over again soon.
