2010 Adventures 4-7

I have forgotten to post our adventures until this last one, so I thought I would quickly run through the few that I missed...
#4 Avimor old school house site

With Robert's Avimor job, he had a great opportunity to learn a lot of the history up here. One of the places was the old school house site. They eventually shut the school down and moved the building. All that is left is a few bricks here and there. They has some great rock areas that the kids loved to play on. It is fun to imagine the kids way back when playing on the same rocks that my kids today play on.

We also went to a location of an old homestead where a man, Frank Starr, was murdered and not found until the next spring. Kind of creepy, but not to worry, they caught the guy who killed him.

This is were the infamous murder took place. 

I loved this tree. It has so much character. I think I will paint it. Maybe call it Dead Mans tree. :o)

#5 Hiking up on Bogus with our Friends, The Talbots

Claire loves to stop you and say password. Usually it is your name or whatever silly thing she likes to make up.

#6 Idaho State Penitentiary

The kids had a lot of fun going here. If you get a chance to go then I highly recommend the guided tours. The guides have a ton of fun stories. 

 #7- Mortensen Family Campout

This was a fun weekend. We went over the 4th of July. There were a few injuries, but nothing that was life threatening. Overall, it was a great time with all the family together.
