Kyle's Arrow of Light

Last weeks fun filled events started off with Kyle's Arrow of Light!

He was so excited about it and kept asking what was going to happen, but I was good and kept my lips sealed.
The Novaks were able to barrow an Indian headdress from a man in the other ward for us, so we used that as our base to our theme.
Grandpa Chief Mortensen ready to ask Kyle to climb his mountain
We asked Grandpa to come and be our chief and with his notorious grin and chuckle he accepted. We love our Grandpa's willingness to do anything for his grand kids!
Grandpa Chief Mortensen called up the boys who were advancing and had them "climb" a mountain and bring back a branch from where they stopped.  Kyle was the last to return because he made it to the top and there wasn't anything left for him on that mountain. His Webelos leader, Sister Hiatt presented his Arrow of Light with an awesome piece of leather that had all of his awards on it.
Sister Hiatt was a fabulous Webelos leader. She worked those boys hard on a strong schedule and they loved her for it!
Afterwards, Chief Grandpa sent him over the bridge to be welcomed into scouts by Robert. It turned out great and Kyle is so excited to start 11 year old scouts, go on camp outs, and have great adventures.
...Very dramatic! He did the entire walk in slow motion
Kyle reciting the scout oath and law
Father and Son...
I wish I would have gotten a picture of the three generations.

Good Job Kyle! We are so happy for you!
