Tote

One of my friends had a birthday this weekend so I wanted to make her something.
She found some really great canvas material at the D.I. a few months back and gave it to me. She told me not to use it on her, but I couldn't resist.

In my mind I had an entirely different designed planned, but it evolved into this bag and I love it. It was fun to make and I hope it is useful for her.

I lined it with the fabric you see on the top of the tote. The ruffled flower is just a really long strip of fabric that I sewed on and added the large beads. I put the same fabric as the ruffle on the straps.

It was fun making it. I think I will make another one... or two or three.
